This album represents my efforts to better blend through-composed music with improvised music (hence the title) over the 2015-2016 school year. It is of no genre, no idiom. It is simply music.

Recorded over the span of about an hour and a half, most of the songs are first takes (excepting only some of the through-composed portions). This was partly done for practical reasons, but also partly done to keep with the spirit of improvised music and chance, as well as the magic of "live" performance.

My infinite thanks to Barry Saunders for his endless help in making me a better composer and musician, and pushing me to do this project in the first place. Thanks also for Hunter McKay for manning ProTools and thus helping me avoid any catastrophe.
